You are the viceroy of the Scorched Queen, appointed by her in order to subjugate the barren wastelands and find the lost treasures of the Smoldering City, the last bastion of civilization, miraculously resisting the Rotten Storm that destroyed old world. In most survival city builders, you control just one city, but in Against the Storm your task is to build a huge network of thriving settlements, home to different fantastical peoples with different lifestyles, needs and skills.

In undeveloped lands, many unexpected threats await you, and incessant storms will prevent your charges from rebuilding. You will lose your settlements, expeditions will fail, but this does not mean defeat. Against the Storm is a roguelike game, which means that even if you fail, you can continue your mission, retaining the resources, upgrades and experience from previous campaigns.
