You are an employee of GATE and are working to expand the boundaries of human knowledge and explain the unexplained, including various anomalies and paranormal phenomena: from gravity-distorting artifacts to supernatural beings with a pronounced instinct for violence. Security and secrecy are of paramount importance... more often than not. A catastrophic failure in security systems has turned your workplace into a space battle zone: abnormal entities roam free, enemies from other dimensions break through portals, and a secret military sect known as the Order indiscriminately attacks laboratories and staff in an attempt to seize artifacts and eliminate chaos. Containment procedures did not work and there is nowhere to wait for help. You and your fellow scientists, with whom you find yourself deep underground, need to join forces to get up, and until that happens, you will have to settle into an underground complex. The GAMEPLAY of Abiotic Factor brings the atmosphere of science fiction of the 90s to the genre of survival games with the creation of objects in the open world and guarantees exciting character development. The multiplayer mode supports up to 6 players who will be able to choose a doctorate and develop their scientist, equip and explore a huge underground complex filled with supernatural artifacts, the consequences of failed experiments and interdimensional enemies. SCIENCE AGAINST CRUELTY There are enough dangers for everyone: aggressive soldiers, aliens in search of food, the most advanced robotic security forces attacking overtime staff. But you are a scientist and are not strong in battles, so you will have to use your doctorate and outwit your opponents. Create ingenious and outlandish tools, weapons and equipment – from simple nets and wooden bats to laser cannons and intricate traps – everything that your big scientific mind can come up with! A HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE You are here for a long time, so make yourself at home. Search for resources in empty offices and laboratories, open vending machines, use the company´s property to build a new operating base – while exploring the facility. When it´s time to change the environment and transport your belongings, hand carts, forklifts, SUVs, teleporters and more are at your service. THE ROLE OF THE RESEARCH TEAM Put on a lab coat and get a doctorate: from plant geneticist to military analyst and civil engineer (there are many other areas to choose from). Each of them has its own advantages in the field of survival.
